Many lenses are very easy to use with appropriate adapters, I’ve already got adapters for all kind of lenses to use on my Lumix M4/3 camera’s. All came at quite reasonable cost from eBay. You may hear people on the forums say that cheap adapters are to be avoided.However I’m of the opinion that this frequently comes from those of the ‘sharpness trumps all else’ school of photography. I know some people collect vast piles of old kit and use it just for the sake of it, well that’s a fine hobby, but from my own POV, it ain’t why I enjoy photography. I want to use lenses that are good in every way. When some lenses from one brand and som of another brand are good, i don’t want to change bodies but want to use them on my preferred body.
I use Nikon and Panasonic bodies for my photography and like to use the Nikon lenses on the Panasonic body’s, I have a normal adapter and a speedbooster for the wide-angle lenses. For the rest I like to experiment with changing the mounts of the lenses. I adapted a Olympus OM 50mm Macro F3.5 to Nikon F mount and use it to shoot almost all of the product images I use for this website. I helps me to be not constricted to nikon glass, when other vintage glass i excellent as wel.
